Introducing Winston

Hi my lovelies,

I thought it was about time that you met my beloved English Bulldog, Winston...

I only got Winston at the end of last year through a rescue and he is just amazing. He's 3 years old and is the most stupidest, clumsy, crazy dog I've ever known. He runs into things and people, he slips on the laminate flooring, he humps his football! Oh and he loves cuddles with his mummy.

From what I know of the breed, he is quite petite, but he makes up for that in many ways! He is 100% a mummy's boy and likes to think that he's a lap dog, even though he weighs a ton when he sits on you. He talks to you as well, whenever he wants to go in the garden etc,  he will stand by the back door and bark once and then turn and look at you. I suppose that's a good thing.

Unfortunately Winston is epileptic, which means that he will be on medication for the rest of his life. This we did not know about when we first rehomed him but it has not faltered our love for him. We knew that he had a head tremor which is very common in the bulldog breed and we knew not to make a huge fuss of it so as not to stress him out. But one day he started to have a fit. We took him to the vets immediately and he stayed there for the day so they could monitor him. He had five fits that day, which as you can imagine, was very stressful for him. The vets decided to sedate him in the hopes that he could possibly sleep it off and then they prescribed him with medication that he has to take twice a day for the rest of his life.

He is one of the most loving dogs that just want to be loved and nurtured. He is so rewarding and such an amazing dog to be around... My boy.

WHAT PETS DO YOU HAVE?

Lots of love,
Alice x
